NEW DISCOVERY OF MEZAPARKS

Dear friends! We are glad to welcome you in the unique area of Latvia’s capital - Mezaparks. At the beginning of the 20th century, this picturesque area was called the Royal Garden and was built up for the first time according to a comprehensive development plan and thanks to the talent of the best architects of Riga. As a result, on the territory of almost 12 square kilometers, on the shore of Kisezers - the largest lake in Riga, among carefully preserved areas of pine forest, low-storied buildings of art nouveau, national romanticism, art nouveau, and functionalism were built. Most of the buildings were erected during the heyday of the Russian Empire - in 1911 (42 houses), and at the stage of young independent Latvia - in 1931 (41 houses). The unified, spatially completed Mezaparks complex continues to develop in the 21st century, creatively complementing projects of architects of the past with modern technologies providing comfortable life in the open air.
